Eric Romanak is a social entrepreneur with a relentless vision for making health and fitness accessible for everyday people. As a child, he seriously struggled with his weight, bullying and self-worth. By his twenties he was divorced, bankrupt, overweight and had dropped out of college. Finally exhausted from suffering with anxiety, anger and an addictive personality, Eric decided to do something different and began practicing martial arts. Soon he began to realize significant mental benefits from getting back in his body. He immersed himself further into things like yoga, running, tactical fitness and nutrition. He now teaches a mind-body fitness approach that goes beyond exercise and weight loss which he shares with everyone from juvenile inmates to successful executives. His life’s work is about teaching the true value of health in order to make everyday life more meaningful, and trying to bring the world into an age of wellness.
Before becoming a fitness professional, Eric was an aspiring artist and musician. He believes this background gave him a unique perspective on personal health. He is the proud father of two amazing children Mason and Maya, and has been happily married to his first health coach Denise, since 2000.
He has been an instructor in Yoga, Tai Chi, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Tactical Fitness, Strength Training and Nutrition Coaching.
What does SEVA mean?
Seva is an ancient word for service. The idea behind SEVA FITNESS is to pursue health not only as a service to ourselves, but as a service to everyone else. The more fit and capable you are, the more you will provide for your loved ones and your community. Essentially, when we make ourselves better, we make the world a little better. Seva is a way to do our part.

We borrow strategies from yoga, martial arts, and even meditation to bring your mind in alignment with your workout. The result is not only a body that feels and looks better, but also a sharp mind and increased stress resilience. All body types, ages, and levels of fitness experience have a place at Seva Fitness. We specialize in modifying exercises to accommodate anyone no matter their respective level of physical conditioning.
8 years ago, I found myself being admitted to the hospital for chest pains and at a high risk of heart attack/stroke. I was overweight, out of shape, and completely miserable (mentally and physically). I tried to exercise on my own for several years; walking, exercising at home with DVDs, and even tried a few yoga/Pilates classes. When I first stepped foot into SEVA I knew that I was home. I now feel comfortable to attempt just about anything without fear of ridicule or rejection. I know that it has been up to me to put in the work, but if not for all the encouragement, I would not still be here three years later.
